I am Peter Hogarth and I’ve been a professional Animal Portrait Artist since 1988. I work in soft pastels on finest quality acid free paper. I am UK based and I ship my work worldwide in a postal tube.
Pricing
I typically charge $350 for a single portrait, which includes shipping.
The paper measures approximately 15 x 21.5 inches, and the actual image will be approximately 7.5 x 11 inches.
I normally request a deposit of $150 at the outset. When I have finished the portrait I will send you a photo and ask you if you feel that it needs any fine adjustment or changes made. When you are happy, the balance of $200 is due and I will send it to you via Royal Mail International Tracked service, and will provide you with the tracking number. I normally use PayPal, and my account is the same as my email address. I would be delighted to discuss anything further with you, so please feel free to contact me.
Commissioning a Portrait
Commissioning a portrait is quite a straightforward process. If you decide to proceed with having one painted, I will ask you to send me some photos /videos so that we can decide which is the best pose. The more information I have, the better the portrait will be, so please feel free to send me a lot! Ideally, these should be taken in natural daylight (overcast is best), and be taken at face level if possible.
